An early version of the piece was included as part of Radiophrenia, curated by Mark Vernon and Barry Burns, broadcasting from the Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow, was included in Kaamos Radio's two day radio art festival, curated by Gabi Schaffner, streaming from Finland and will be broadcast in Bergen, Norway on the weekly FM/AM radio program RUMMUR_radio curated by Eva Rowson, Peter Meanwell, and Maia Urstad.
We Have All Heard Things That Were Not There is a work for online streaming and low-power radio transmission. This new piece is part of an ongoing body of work (Black Seas) which began in 2015 and is influenced by historical and contemporary experiences of pathological and non-pathological auditory hallucination. We Have All Heard Things That Were Not There is a sound work that incorporates noise, music and voices; the three types of sound hallucinated, in the form of an audio essay, similar to the film essay genre but told through sound alone.
